Fitness Tips for Children, Adults & Seniors in Pensacola, FL & Beyond

We often associate exercise with our physical appearance, but it provides so many benefits to our overall health. Exercise does not have to mean running on a treadmill in order to lose weight. We all should recognize exercise as simply moving the body during any sort of physical activity. Being physical is important for our all-around well-being and a habit that is good to develop early in life and stick with even through old age. Fitness Master can help people in the Crestview, Destin, Gulf Breeze, Navarre, Pace, Pensacola, Perdido Key, FL and Fairhope, Orange Beach, Spanish Fort, AL areas keep moving by supplying exercise equipment for home gyms. No matter what age you are or what your current fitness level is, exercising will do you good!

Children

Kids tend to naturally want to run around and play. Running, jumping, and climbing provide a good basis for building up their muscular strength and aerobic endurance. Children need to keep moving in order to grow properly during this developmental phase of life.

Teens

Teenagers often get involved in sports, whether with an organized team through their school or with pickup basketball and football games in their local neighborhoods. A minimum of one hour of physical activity a day is recommended for this age group, but most parents know how challenging it can be to pull teenagers away from screens and get them outdoors. Encouraging their participation in sports can be a great way to ensure they keep moving.

Young Adults

Your 20s is the time to establish fitness as a habit in order to set yourself up for success in the future. Your body is strong and healthy now, but will begin to deteriorate as you grow older. Make it a regular part of your life to keep moving, whether that means lifting weights, playing tennis, or going for hikes, so that you will have a foundation in place for later in life.

Middle-Aged Adults

This is the time period when things start to break down and exercise becomes essential for maintaining your health. Staying active will help mitigate loss of muscle mass, slowing metabolisms, decreasing hormone levels, and joint pain as well as fend off high blood pressure and heart disease. You may need to reduce the intensity of your activity, but keep moving no matter what!

Seniors

Elderly people often struggle to maintain their independence due to various physical limitations. Consider daily stretching to work on your flexibility and balancing exercises to avoid falls. Take some extra time to warm up and cool down as you keep moving so as not to hurt yourself.
